The term "Bollywood" describes all those films from the indian film industry which are produced in today's Mumbai (formerly Bombay). The name "Bollywood" is a combination of the words Hollywood - the centre of the u.s. american filmindustry - and Bombay (India).
Like the term "Bollywood" also the bollywood-dance is a mixture between classical indian and modern contemporary dance. So bollywood-dance does not represent a standard style of dance but a potpourri of different dance styles like bhangra, bharatanatyam, modern dance, disco dance, jazz dance, hiphop, oriental dance etc. This symbiosis is it that makes bollywood-dance so interesting and animates people from all over the world to imitate. Bollywood-dance is for all those people who fancy dancing and like to find India in themselves.
